prommies

So, I finally cracked, and began leveling my Hume mule, who is now my main lol. I decided on Samurai for her, since its a job I have yet to play. She's now 35. :)

Got her pretty close to being caught up. She's rank 4 right now, need to get her to rank 5 to be completely caught up. She's a mercenary, has Aht Urgahn access (duh), and is pretty much close to what I had Sylmeria. Sylmeria will be a secondary character, and my moneymaker. :)

I've finally finished a prommy with my LS mates, and I must say, I love the CoP areas and content. Dem is down, just Holla and Mea to go!

Uhm...oh and I hit 1 million gil a few weeks ago.

I'm very tired atm, so this will have to do for now.

the hullabalulu

Just got out of a very long party, but three levels on my Blue Mage is not bad for one night. Level 46, a bazillion more to go. :) I ended up main healing...which irritated me, but there weren't many people seeking (or even many people at level 43) so I agreed. Was ok, but I would have rathered just getting a "no brainer" damage dealing role. Someday I shall escape White Mage. =/

Chocobo digging has been very productive lately. I'm pulling up philosophers stones, reishi mushrooms, wyvern scales (got a whole stack of those puppies, just waiting for them to sell.) and yesterday, I got an Orichalcum Ore in Rolanberry Fields!!!!! They sell for 50k on the Jeuno Auction House, which is a lot for my server. The picture on the left is during one of my less productive ventures into Wajaom Woodlands. The area was "dug up" at that time....=/

I'm very close my my gil goal (my first one at least) 1 million gil is very close, and I'm quite pleased. This chocobo digging nvestment is not only fun, but I make a profit nearly everytime I venture out now. That and Chocobo Hot and Cold...I'm getting all kinds of weird, random, and most of the time, expensive items from the VCS crates. ^^ Zuriel, aka my boyfriend, has started his first little chocobo baby, and I can tell he's enjoying it. I'll be doing Camp Kweh with him whenever I can get to San'd Oria....I visit that city the least out of them all lately. I find the music somewhat irritating and I really don't do much there...save leveling my woodworking on occasion.

During one of my outings to Altepa Desert, I actually caught of a glimpse of "Cactrot Rapido"...and I almost wet myself laughing. For those who don't know "cactuars" are character that show up in nearly all the Final Fantasy games..and its literally a walking cactus. Hilarious to look at..and this one was even more so , as the name "rapido" hints...this little bugger is FAST. I couldn't keep up with him for very long on a rental chocobo! That's fast! He just ran off, leaving a big dust cloud behind him. Someday Mr. Cactuar...you and I will meet...face to face.... (My goal is to kill that sucker when I get my Blue Mage to 75 ... I can dream!!!!)

I've started doing my chain of Aht Urgahn Missions this week, most are just "run here, talk to this person", but the plots getting kind of interesting, and I can't wait to level a bit and do my undersea ruins investigation...even the name sounds cool!

Uhm....yeah...not much other than that....at least that I can think of offhand....so later!

The orgin of my Character Name (s)

Don't expect to see me around much when I get this game , the main character is where "Sylmeria" came from. (Wish I could have gotten the correct spelling.) I prefer the japanese site more for some reason but eh. (<3's Rufus' design.) At least I can rest assure that SQUARE didnt bastardize the game, like what namco did to the "Xeno" series. I am really excited to see that they kept to old battle/navigation system, looks all neat and upgraded.

My other character (Who I play occasionally) "Kelvena", comes from the SQUARE game, Xenogears. My favorite game ever (at least it's matched with FF7 on the top of my list.) I was going to try for "Elly" or "Elhaym", but eh...I figured I would go with Kelvena instead, since I like her. Kelvena was a military soldier for a country called "Solaris", in the "Element" division, and was the "Element" of water. She's mostly seen with her eyes shut, so she can control her ether energy.

One thing I noticed playing FFXI, is the fact that people actually RECOGNIZE where the name comes from. ^^ I've never had so many random messages asking me about VP. And to my delight, I've actually seen a "Krelian" (an important Xenogears character) running around in game. ^_^

the art of sewing.

I finally sat down and did some Clothcrafting last night, and FINALLY reached level 30. I achieved this by crafting myself some Ninja Tools, to cut down on the costs of capping my Ninjitsu. I tanked with it uncapped the other night/morning, and...well....I could have done much better, despite what the b/f (in the same party) and an ingame friend said. Having it interrupt all the time was getting on my nerves. =/ Anyway, yeah, I'm in the next stretch of Clothcrafting, so I'll be farming some sheep wool/sheep skins (to turn into sheep wool) later, to help stave off the cost of breaks and the AH cost of sheeps wool. I'll be able to make a decent amount of gil when I get to making the Wool Cloth from those threads I'll be pumping out soon. :) I've also been steadily turning in what I can to the guild for GP's. With any luck in a month or so, I'll be able to get my granny glasses! ^_^

Oh, and on another good note, I think I've gone up another Chocobo Digging level! I will confirm this with a macro I made later. However, I'm positive I have, since I can now dig consistently non-stop. No delay in between, nothing. I'm loving that, since it means I can compete with the higher level diggers a bit more with the speed. I was able to pull up a few mythril beast coins last night in Rolanberry. I normally head to the more profitable areas, like Yhoatar / Yhutunga junles or Easter/Western Altepa, but after digging 4 stacks with no results in the Desert, ( and because my mules AH is overloaded with Rosewood/Elm/and Ebony logs), I decided to go to a new area and explore. Rolanberry is notroious for being "Dug up" consistently, but I got a decent amount of items on this dig.

And on my final note, I broke down and bought Male and Female Green Choco cards yesterday. I did this in hopes of getting a Green Chocobo to call my very own. ^^ I'll be picking up the egg today, and attempting not to mix it up with my Red Choco bread egg (hopefully I can get a red one from that one at a later time ^^ ) One of the Green Choco's parents know Bore and Burrow, so I'm hoping it might be born with those abilites. If it is, I'll be raising another "Digger".

And Personal Life Note: The Boyfriend wants to take me on a trip of my choice for my birthday in July. ^^ I'm quite excited since I'll be able to get away for a few days. :) It's a choice of Toronto Zoo, Niagra Falls, and Hershey Park (one of my absolute favorite places to go ^_^) . I think I'll be choosing the Theme Park over the pretty animals and pretty scenery. :P I get both at Hershey...sort of...they have a zoo and its located in farm country!

Fishing, Eh.

I've been trying to time all of my fish with the New/Full Moon cycles, especially since I favor fishing up the elusive Nebimonite of the Ferries. I've pulled up almost 2 stacks so far (doing this as I speak..I'm sort of bored so I'm web surfing as I wait.) I've only been fishing for about an hour, and considering it usually takes me an hour to get maybe...7....thats good. I like the ferry since it's not extremely dull, such as fishing in a town. Dodging Sea Horrors and the pirated attacks make the trip interesting. I'm trying to fish more often, since I've put it off for the last two months or so... It's a good way to come up with some extra gil, and adds up over time. Later, I'll probably make some insect paste and grab a few more stacks of Moat Carp for my Lu Shang turn in.

Chocobo digging is starting to become more fruitful. In the past week, I noticed I've been pulling up more and more of the "extremely" rare, and "Rare" Items in the zones I dig. Heck, I even got a few gold ores in Altepa the other day...I usually get crap or nothing during my Altepa trips. During Chocobo Hot and Cold, I got a few items of note, one being a whistle coupon (yay for free whistle charges!), Fresh Mugwort, and a Chocoelixir.

I've opened up Ninja and Dragoon this week. :) We got Dragoon opened for Austin in record time with Whm teleports. Ninja is a fun job, but a bit on the pricey side, I've had to buy a few extra stacks of tools in an attempt to get my Ninjitsu skills up. I intend to level it slowly, and get all the best equipment I possibly can. I've already camped the Valkrum Emperor for the hairpin this week (thank you to the two friends who helped me out :) ) The Empress Hairpin is now mine, after only an hour and a half of camping. I've tried to get the Traveler's Mantle off of the Spook, but he refused to drop it...so I broke down and just bought the mantle. It's nice to have that extra evasion. :)

I'm focusing more on Melee jobs lately, as White Mage is making my head spin. I'm starting to hate healing all the time, so I figured leveling Ninja and Blue Mage (when I get Nin caught up to be the sub) will be a nice change.

Ahoy there maties! (Sorry just saw Pirates 3 recently :P ) I'm going to attempt to keep this updated on at least a monthly basis. Given how often I accomplish something new in FFXI, I would say that's a somewhat reasonable timespan for updates. As you may recognize from the picture on the left, I'm officially a Mercenary for Aht Urgahn, and I've become a besieged - whore. This is a screenshot of "Medusa" the Megaboss of the Undead Swarm. A really, from an artistic point of view, Sqareenix has pretty much everyone beat when it comes to wicked looking monsters (and the detail man...the detail...), not to mention the awesome smoothness of the animation. (You can really see it when you get the Cutscene of the Lamia's and Medusa..since they are...like...snakes.... =/ ) I enjoy how anit-anal people are (for the most part...minus the person who called a friend of mine a "lazy hooker" for jokingly telling the higher levels to rescue the free teleport guy... =/ Still got a good laugh from it though :P )

As for the mercenary cat-lady...well....she's cool, love the outfit and her mace..but she's a bit bi-polar/schizoprehnic..in a good way hehe.. Those staging point quests are a bit of a bitch to do at my level. (I need to vist them all as my Blue Mage for my Artifact Weapon....thus...I cannot rely on sneak/invs spells..I have to invest in potions to do it for me. Being a White Mage has spoiled me in that sense. As for other missions for Aht Urgahn..they will have to wait until I get a bit higher. :(

Speaking of White Mage, I've decided to just focus on leveling it and my subjob (Black Mage) a bit more. I just need to make some more money to pay for all of these stupid spells scrolls I'm going to need (or do need, as I'm still missing certain scrolls). Stona and Viruna are going to cost me a pretty penny... :( I've also been watching the AH like a hawk to see if the miss bar-ra scrolls I need happen to be there. (Figures, the times I actually go to buy them, they are out of stock.)

That's pretty much it for now. The rest is just the same old "Raising this craft." "Leveling this job.". =/

My addiction is just that bad. :)

Nothing new as of late, I'm enjoying my time just wandering around ingame...crafting....farming...fishing...whatever I choose to do that day.
I've been working on getting my other character, Kelvena, up to speed fame and level wise. I like mithra...but hume seems to appeal to me more lately....
